“Rather than buying one thing that serves one purpose, women are looking for items that have multiple purposes and opportunities.” – Willy Mrasek, Felina.
As millennial women gravitate more towards capsule wardrobes, manufacturers must find more ways to make its collections fit in. Felina’s Creative Director, Willy Mrasek says that multifunctionality is the key.
“Multi-purpose wardrobe solutions, we’re seeing a lot of that theme in ready-to-wear,” he says. “Rather than buying one thing that serves one purpose, women are looking for items that have multiple purposes and opportunities.”

This spring, Mrasek says Felina’s line fits the bill. From bodysuits to tanks, the collection is chock-full of styles that can be worn anywhere. He notes long sleeve and three-quarter length sleeve styles that can be layered from day to night and are perfect for lounging as must-haves for this target customer.

“Our bodysuits have been phenomenal at retail and we’re going in depth this spring,” Mrasek.
“The Body Zone group features two new silhouettes that are all great innerwear as outerwear options.” Mrasek takes inspiration from the 80s style bodysuit, and updates it with more modern design and finishes, like the t-back strap in style 900284 and the wide crisscross straps in style 900229. “These give the customer options—is this a layering piece, or a sleep piece or is this an exercise piece?”
Felina’s foray into athleisure

The Jessica group is also expected to be a hit at retail this spring. “It’s our foray into athleisure,” Mrasek says. The group features modal fabrications with lace details and trims. Style 900291, a modal tank with a galloon lace hem, is perfect to layer under sweaters or worn on its own. Capri modal leggings, Style 900292, also feature a lace trim, which Mrasek says gives the athleisure look a more glamorous feel. A corset romper, Style 900294, features a flirty tap pant and a strappy back detail.

Quality is always a huge priority for the brand and this season Mrasek says the collection will feature stronger fabrications. “We’re rising to the challenge of our retailers to continue to push the border in silhouettes and fabrication,” he says.

The Danielle group features a rayon linen slub jersey fabric that gives basic t-shirts and tanks an upgrade. The group also includes a tank dress, pant and short that feature mesh cutout details. Lucy is a group of sweatshirts and a lounge pant in luxurious cotton and the Victoria group includes a long sleeve top and zip up hoodie with spandex brushed jersey.
